From Floor Paint to Natural Stone Table Top
I used this Shengwei dark gray floor paint as my primary coating for a custom side table using solid wood rounds—a 20-inch top and an 18-inch lower shelf. Using a solid wood base first gave the project a perfect foundation and let the water-based paint dry cleanly without any issues.First, I prepped the wood rounds and painted the undersides with the dark gray paint, then securely mounted my heavy, straight cast iron composite legs. Once the structure was assembled and flipped upright, I applied a thick, even coat of the paint straight from the can across the top surfaces and all around the round vertical edges.While the paint was completely wet, I then added a product called blend of color chip Epoxy flakes. As I sprinkled the chips, I let them fall flat into the coating naturally. For the vertical edges, I gently pressed small handfuls of the flakes directly into the wet sides. After letting it dry completely for 24 hours to let the water evaporate, I brushed away the loose chips, lightly sanded down the sharp edges to get them flush, and sealed everything with a clear topcoat. The combination completely hid the wood, softened the plastic transition at the rim, and gave the entire side table a true, natural stone look.

Good coverage for small garage or workshop project
This floor paint was easy to work with since it comes ready to use without needing to mix multiple components together. The consistency spread evenly with a roller and covered concrete surfaces well with a clean, uniform finish.The medium gray color looked nice in person and helped give older concrete a cleaner, more refreshed appearance. It also did a decent job helping minimize the look of smaller surface imperfections and discoloration in the floor.The coating dried fairly quickly and had much less odor than solvent-heavy floor coatings. The finish held up well during normal foot traffic and light garage use after curing.Coverage was close to the advertised range depending on how porous the concrete surface was beforehand. Surface prep still matters quite a bit for proper adhesion and long-term durability.One thing worth noting is that this is a thinner one-part coating compared to thicker two-part epoxy systems, so expectations should stay realistic for heavy industrial or high-abuse environments.Currently listed for sale at $95, this feels a little expensive for a single gallon of floor coating, but it is still a convenient option for smaller projects where easier application and lower odor are priorities.

Looks Promising for Countertop Projects
I ordered this gallon of paint to use on a countertop project, but I haven’t had a chance to actually use it yet, so this review is based on my first impressions.So far, it looks like a good quality product. The paint has a nice appearance in the container, and I was pleasantly surprised that it came with both a paint brush and roller, which is a nice little bonus and makes it feel more like a complete starter kit instead of just the paint alone.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because I haven’t tested the actual performance yet, so I can’t speak to durability, coverage, or how well it holds up over time. But based on what I received, I’m optimistic and looking forward to trying it on my countertop project. I’ll update my review if anything changes after I put it to use!

Upon opening the container, the paint had a consistent texture with enough body to adhere well to the surface without feeling overly thin. There is also a moderate odor that is noticeable but not particularly strong.When applied to a concrete surface, it spread easily, flowed evenly, and was simple to distribute without much effort. The initial coverage is good and helps visually minimize stains and color variations in the concrete, improving the overall appearance of the surface from the first application.The ready to use formula is a practical feature, especially for those tackling home maintenance or renovation projects and prefer to avoid additional preparation steps.Overall, this product stands out for its ease of use, complete presentation, and uniform application on concrete surfaces.
